RENATE presents online webinar at CSW67, on 15 March 2023.

Thanks to the offices of the Congregation of Our Lady of Charity of the Good Shepherd, at the UN, RENATE (Religious in Europe Networking against Trafficking and Exploitation) will participate in their Virtual Booth at this year’s CSW.

RENATE members from a number of the RENATE Task groups, will present on their interpretation of the CSW67 theme: ”Innovation & technological change, and education in the digital age for achieveing gender equality and the empowerment of all women and girls.”

There will be a whistlestop tour of the RENATE online House of Prayer;  Examples of Awareness-raising activities will be shared; we will explore the nexus between migrant women, homelessness & human trafficking; the role of technology in capacity building will be considered; there will be an indepth look at the urgency to update the law so as to enable & empower survivors of human trafficking to access justice; we will hear from RENATE representatives at the Conference of INGOs at the Council of Europe; the importance of shelters for survivors- not only as safe havens but as a means towards restoration and renewal as survivors regain their equilibrium. Advocacy will implicitly underpin throughout all the presentations as RENATE endeavours to advocate for human trafficking prevention, protection against same and restoration of the dignity of the human person.
